Jo Ann Greenberg, VMD
Veterinary Internal Medicine

Born in New York City, Dr. Jo Ann Greenberg grew up in the Midwest where she received a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Chemistry from the University of Chicago.

She then decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a veterinarian and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. She worked at several veterinary hospitals in New Jersey, finally making the move to Brooklyn in mid-1997.

Dr. Greenberg’s professional interests include veterinary internal medicine (especially endocrinology), geriatric pet medicine, and the special needs of feline patients. She also has an interest in treating exotic mammals - ferrets, rabbits, and pocket pets such as hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, rats, and mice.

Dr. Greenberg is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New York State Veterinary Medical Society, the New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association, the American Animal Hospital Association and the American Ferret Association.

In her spare time she enjoys cooking and baking, reading (mostly non-fiction), working on her computer, and spending quality time with her lovable 16-pound cat, Wilbur.
