At Atlantic Animal Care, your pet has access to the latest veterinary technology. We have teamed with a mobile ultrasound service to provide your dog or cat with advanced ultrasound diagnostics. Ultrasound uses high-frequency soundwaves to create a moving, real-time image of your pet’s internal organs. This is a powerful diagnostic tool that provides valuable information for your pet’s treatment.

Ultrasound is particularly useful in viewing abdominal organs and the heart. The high-quality images produced by ultrasound can detect the signs of heart disease and help us evaluate heart function. Ultrasound is also used in pregnancy evaluations in dogs and cats. Echocardiography and abdominal ultrasound are offered by the mobile ultrasound service we have partnered with. In some cases, we refer some ultrasound procedures to the Veterinary Emergency and Referral Group, located a few blocks away in Brooklyn.
